Washington airport map prints

Washington divides along the Cascades: Puget Sound and the wet west, dry plateau and wheat country to the east. Seattle-Tacoma International lays three parallel runways at 432 feet, the longest 11,901 feet, with Boeing Field/King County International at 22 feet closer to downtown and Seattle Paine Field International at Everett. Bellingham International runs 6,700 feet near the border. East of the mountains the runways stretch: Grant County International at Moses Lake with five paved runways and a 13,503 foot strip, the longest public-use runway in the state, at 1,189 feet; Spokane International 11,002 at 2,385; Tri-Cities at Pasco three runways at 410; Yakima Air Terminal at McAllister Field 7,604 at 1,099; Pullman/Moscow Regional at 2,567. Ranger Creek at Greenwater, the highest paved public field, sits at 2,650 feet, and the coast fields at Westport and Ocean Shores at 14 and 15.

Flying in Washington

Flying in Washington is marine layer and mountain passes in the west, then dry open country east of the Cascades where the runways run long. Sea-Tac's three parallels and Moses Lake's five-runway spread are both here. Published airport information guides each composition's relative runway lengths and bearings, with fine details simplified for wall art.
