Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches.

Made like something you keep.

The field itself

This is Everett's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Seattle Paine Field International Airport Runway Diagram Print

Seattle Paine Field International plots as two parallel runways aligned north to south, and that pairing carries the whole composition. The long one on the west side is 16R/34L, 7,000 feet by 150 feet, surfaced in asphalt and concrete. Off to the east, set lower on the sheet, is 16L/34R at 3,004 feet by 75 feet of asphalt, a runway suited only to small aircraft. Field elevation is 607 feet, and magnetic variation here is 16 degrees east.

The gap between those two strips is where the print gets interesting. Taxiways, hangar rows and the big rectangular structures north of midfield fill that space in pale grey, and a broad diagonal band of pavement cuts across the lower middle at an angle that answers neither runway. Runway 11/29 was decommissioned in 2020, and Boeing has leased some of the former runway space to park partially completed aircraft. The field itself dates to 1936, built as a Works Progress Administration project, and it was named for Topliff Olin Paine in 1941. Boeing selected Paine Field for its Everett assembly plant in 1966 as part of the 747 program, commercial service resumed at a newly constructed terminal in 2019, and the county government renamed the airport in 2023 to advertise its proximity to Seattle.

On a wall, the two black runway bars read as a deliberate off-rhythm: one long vertical stroke holding the left third, one short stroke dropped low and right, with everything else receding into soft grey. It suits a hallway or an office where you want structure without noise. Frame it alone, or hang it next to another Washington field such as Bellingham if you are building a row. The identifier, city, coordinates and elevation sit quietly in the lower corner, so the drawing does the talking.

Everett (PAE) print, common questions

How many runways does PAE have, and how are they arranged?

Two, and both run in the same direction. The print shows 16R/34L and 16L/34R as parallel strips, the longer one to the west and the shorter one east of it and offset toward the south end of the field.

How long is the main runway at Seattle Paine Field International?

Runway 16R/34L is 7,000 feet long and 150 feet wide, with an asphalt and concrete surface. The second runway, 16L/34R, is 3,004 feet by 75 feet of asphalt and is suitable only for small aircraft.

Where is PAE, and what is the field elevation?

It sits in Everett, Washington, at 47.9051 degrees north and 122.2814 degrees west, with a field elevation of 607 feet. Those figures are printed under the identifier.

What does PAE mean?

PAE is the three-letter identifier for Seattle Paine Field International, also known as Paine Field and Snohomish County Airport. It was named for Topliff Olin Paine in 1941.

How accurate is the layout on this print?

Runway positions, lengths, widths and orientations are plotted from published airport information, so the two strips sit where the published runway data puts them. It is a design piece, not a navigation document: fine details may be simplified or omitted, and minor pavement, markings and structures are generalized for legibility at print scale.

Does this work as a gift?

It lands well with anyone tied to Everett or the Boeing plant next door: pilots, mechanics, flight students, or someone who flew out of the terminal. Several sizes are offered, each one made to order in the colorway you choose, so you can match a frame you already own.
