Materials

Fine Art Print: pigment giclée printing on heavyweight 330 gsm (17 mil), 100% cotton Hot Press paper, on regularly calibrated giclée printers. The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.

Dimensions

Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches.

Made like something you keep.

The field itself

This is Texarkana's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Texarkana Regional-Webb Field Runway Diagram Print

Two runways cross in a wide X near the top of this TXK sheet. Runway 4/22 is the long one, 6,602 feet by 150 feet, running from the lower left corner of the field up to the right, with the 4 threshold at the bottom and 22 at the top. Runway 13/31 comes down the other way, 5,200 feet by 100 feet, entering from the upper left and finishing at 31 on the right side. Both are asphalt. The two dark strips meet high in the frame, which pushes the crossing point off center and leaves a lot of quiet paper below it.

Texarkana Regional-Webb Field sits three nautical miles northeast of the central business district of Texarkana, inside a city that straddles a state line, on the Arkansas side in Miller County. It is a public use field of 964 acres owned by the Texarkana Airport Authority, and the Webb Field name still rides alongside the newer one. In 2019 the airport logged 32,598 aircraft operations, most of that general aviation, so the pattern of traffic behind this shape is light aircraft far more often than anything else.

As art, the appeal is the asymmetry. The pale taxiway web and the apron pile up along the left side, where the hangar rows step down in small gray blocks, while the right half of the field is mostly open pavement loops. The runway pair is drawn to scale from published airport information, and the lower right corner sets the identifier, the coordinates and the field elevation of 390 feet in small type. The rest of the sheet is left as margin, which is what lets an X this large read cleanly from across a room. The same treatment covers nearby fields including Shreveport and Little Rock, so a regional wall can grow one sheet at a time in the colorway you choose.

Texarkana (TXK) print, common questions

How many runways does Texarkana Regional-Webb Field have?

Two, and both appear on the print. Runway 4/22 measures 6,602 feet by 150 feet, and runway 13/31 measures 5,200 feet by 100 feet. Both surfaces are asphalt, and they cross rather than run parallel, which is where the X shape comes from.

How long is the longest runway at TXK?

6,602 feet, which is runway 4/22 at 150 feet wide. It is the darker, longer diagonal on the sheet, labeled 4 at its lower left end and 22 at its upper right end.

Where is TXK and how high is the field?

Texarkana, Arkansas, three nautical miles northeast of the central business district, at 33.4537 N, 93.9910 W. Field elevation is 390 feet, and that figure is printed in the title block.

What does TXK mean on the print?

TXK is the three-letter identifier for Texarkana Regional-Webb Field, and it is the type set large in the lower right corner. The city and state, the coordinates and the elevation sit beneath it in a smaller weight.

How closely does the diagram follow the published layout?

The runway geometry, the taxiway network and the apron are plotted from published airport information for the 2609 data cycle, and runway ends are labeled 4, 22, 13 and 31 as published. This is a graphic made for a wall, not a navigation document: fine details may be simplified or omitted, and it should never be used for flight.

What sizes and finishes are offered, and does it work as a gift?

It is made to order in standard portrait sizes, as a Fine Art Print, Framed Fine Art Print or Glossy Metal Print (Digital Download available separately), and physical prints ship free within the US. It reads well as a gift for a pilot who trained here, someone who worked the field, or anyone with a Texarkana connection, since the layout is recognizable at a glance in the colorway you choose.
