Description

A runway diagram map print of Tupelo Regional Airport (TUP), made from the airport's own layout for the place it holds in your life. Choose your colorway and your format: a fine art giclée print on cotton paper, a framed fine art print, a glossy metal print or a digital download.

Your fine art print is made to order with pigment inks on heavyweight, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, a 330 gsm sheet with a high color gamut and deep black density. The acid-free, archival-grade paper has a smooth matte surface. Supplied unframed, ready for your own frame.

Made like something you keep.

The field itself

This is Tupelo's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Tupelo Regional Airport Runway Diagram Print

Tupelo Regional works off one runway, and the print hands it the whole left side of the sheet: 18/36, 7,150 feet long and 150 feet wide, asphalt, plotted as a single dark vertical strip with the 18 numerals at the top and 36 at the bottom. Everything else sits to its right. A ladder of pale taxiway rectangles steps down the full length of the strip, thickening near the upper middle into apron shapes and a knot of darker buildings. Low in the right corner, a pale diagonal band runs off at an angle nothing else on the sheet repeats, and that one slanted line is what keeps the composition from reading as pure grid.

The traffic history is longer than a one runway field usually suggests. Southern Airways started here in 1952 with Douglas DC-3s on a routing that strung Tupelo together with Columbus, Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Atlanta and Memphis, six departures a day off this one strip. Contour Airlines began daily nonstop flights in 2016 to Nashville. The field also does duty as an aircraft boneyard, where wide body jetliners are taken apart for scrapping and parts recycling, which is a strange and specific second life for a place drawn this plainly.

As wall art, the appeal is the vertical. Most airport diagrams sprawl sideways; this one reads as a tall column of dark, so it hangs well in a narrow space, in a stairwell, or in a pair beside another print. The caption block at lower right carries the identifier, the city and state, the coordinates and the field elevation of 347 feet, set small enough that the geometry stays the subject. Whatever colorway you choose, the runway holds the darkest value on the sheet and the taxiway ladder falls back a step, which is what lets the layout read from across a room.

Tupelo (TUP) print, common questions

How many runways does Tupelo Regional have?

One. Runway 18/36 measures 7,150 by 150 feet with an asphalt surface, and it is the single dark strip you see running top to bottom of the print.

What is the field elevation at TUP?

347 feet above sea level. That figure is printed in the caption block at the lower right of the sheet, under the coordinates 34.2690 N, 88.7699 W.

What does TUP mean, and what do 18 and 36 refer to?

TUP is the identifier for Tupelo Regional in Tupelo, Mississippi, and it is set large at the bottom right of the print. The 18 and 36 are the two ends of the same runway, labeled by approximate magnetic alignment, which is why they sit at opposite ends of one strip rather than marking two runways.

Where is the airport?

About 3.7 miles west of the central business district of Tupelo, in Lee County, Mississippi.

How closely does the print follow the airport layout?

The runway, taxiways, aprons and building footprints are plotted from published airport information for a 2026 data cycle, and the runway designators and elevation come straight from that record. It is still a print, not a navigation document: fine details may be simplified or omitted, and nothing here should be used for flight planning.

Does this work as a gift?

It tends to land with people who have a reason to know this field: pilots based here, National Guard families, anyone who has flown the Nashville run or grown up under the 18/36 approach. Prints are made to order in a range of sizes, and the colorway you choose sets whether it reads quiet or graphic on the wall.
