The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.

Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport Runway Diagram Print
GFL has two runways, and the print builds its whole composition out of how unevenly they meet. Runway 1/19, 5,000 by 150 feet, stands almost vertical on the sheet and runs nearly the full height of the image. The shorter strip, 12/30 at 3,999 by 100 feet, enters from the upper left on a diagonal and crosses the long runway low, well below the midpoint, so the pair reads as a lopsided cross rather than a tidy X. Taxiways, aprons and hangar rows are massed in gray along the right side, which leaves the left half of the sheet almost entirely open.
The field itself is county-owned and public-use, in Warren County, about three nautical miles northeast of the central business district of Glens Falls, in the town of Queensbury. Ground was broken at the current site in 1941, a few miles east of where the county's only airport had been, on what are now the grounds of Queensbury High School. It is named in honor of Floyd Bennett and was formerly known as Warren County Airport. The annual Adirondack Balloon Festival is held at this airport, which is how a lot of people in the region first learn the shape of the place.
There is real equipment behind the plain black bars: runway 1 is served by an instrument landing system and a medium intensity approach lighting system with runway alignment lights, GPS-based instrument approaches are available to all four runway ends, and a VORTAC sits on the field. None of that shows on the wall. What shows is two bars, a gray cluster of buildings, and quiet space. Hung as a set with other upstate diagrams, Albany and Schenectady among them, the off-center crossing here is the one that keeps catching the eye.
