The field itself

This is Saratoga Springs's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Saratoga County Airport Runway Diagram Print

Saratoga County (5B2) is a two runway field in Saratoga Springs, New York, and the print puts both of them on the page as one wide X. Runway 05/23 runs the long diagonal from lower left to upper right. Runway 14/32 takes the opposite diagonal, entering at the upper left and leaving at the lower right. They cross a little above the center of the sheet, and because the crossing angle is shallow rather than square, the shape reads more like an open pair of shears than a tidy plus sign.

The supporting numbers are modest and the drawing does not dress them up. Runway 05/23 is 4,699 feet long and 100 feet wide. Runway 14/32 is 4,000 feet long and 100 feet wide. Both are listed as asphalt concrete, grooved. Field elevation is 434 feet, and magnetic variation runs 14W, which is why the compass numbers on the ends sit where they do. Everything else on the sheet is support structure: pale taxiway loops curling around each runway threshold, a single apron low and to the right, and a short row of hangar footprints beside it.

That imbalance is what makes it work as artwork. Two bold strokes carry the whole composition, the built area stays small and low in the frame, and the rest is open ground, so the print holds its shape from across a room and rewards a closer look with the taxiway detail. Whichever colorway you choose, the runway bars stay the darkest thing on the sheet. Set beside pieces from Schenectady or Albany, it fills in the upper Hudson corner of a wall grouping without repeating their geometry: a compact two runway X next to their larger fields.

Saratoga Springs (5B2) print, common questions

How many runways does Saratoga County have?

Two. Runway 05/23 and runway 14/32 cross near the middle of the field, and that crossing is the central shape in the print.

How long are the runways at 5B2?

Runway 05/23 is 4,699 feet long by 100 feet wide, and runway 14/32 is 4,000 feet by 100 feet. Both surfaces are listed as asphalt concrete, grooved.

Where is 5B2 and how high is the field?

It sits at Saratoga Springs in New York, at roughly 43.0507 N and 73.8616 W, with a field elevation of 434 feet. Those coordinates and the elevation are printed in the lower corner of the artwork.

What is 5B2, and does the airport have an ICAO code?

5B2 is the identifier assigned to Saratoga County, and it is the only code on the print. The field has no ICAO code, so nothing else appears alongside it.

How accurate is the layout to the published airport diagram?

The runway pair, their crossing angle, the taxiway loops and the apron are plotted from published runway data for the field, using the 2610 data cycle effective 2026-09-03. This is artwork rather than a navigation document, and fine details may be simplified or omitted. Surface markings, lighting and signage are the usual examples.

What formats does this come in, and does it work as a gift?

Choose from Fine Art Print, Framed Fine Art Print, Glossy Metal Print or Digital Download, in several sizes. Physical pieces are made to order; the digital option is a file. It lands well with anyone who trained, based an aircraft or logged circuits at 5B2, since the X is recognizable to them on sight.
