The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.

Chippewa County International Airport Runway Diagram Print
Chippewa County International Airport works two runways, and this print plots both to scale from the published runway data. The primary strip, 16/34, is concrete at 7,203 feet by 150 feet. The crosswind runway, 10/28, is asphalt at 5,001 feet by 75 feet, narrow enough that it reads as a thin line crossing the main one near its north end. Field elevation is 799 feet, and the magnetic variation of 7W sits small in the corner the way a chart carries it.
The pavement here is bigger than the traffic, and there is a reason for that. The field, 15 nautical miles south of Sault Ste. Marie, was Kincheloe Air Force Base until it closed in 1977, and runway 16/34 originally ran 12,000 feet so B-52 and KC-135 aircraft could work from it as a Strategic Air Command base. About 4,800 feet of that concrete has gone unmaintained and is no longer usable for takeoffs or landings, which is how a 12,000 foot runway became the 7,203 feet the diagram plots. The original air traffic control tower still stands, unmanned. The Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation owns the 1,850 acre airport now, and a new passenger terminal opened in September 2002.
As of 2026 the field keeps scheduled service, with Delta Connection flying to Detroit and Minneapolis/St. Paul and United Express running a seasonal link to Chicago. None of that schedule shows up in the drawing.
