The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.

Lawrence J Timmerman (MWC) reads as two X shapes stacked on one field. In the print, the two asphalt runways carry the weight: 15L/33R at 4,107 x 75 ft and 4L/22R at 3,203 x 75 ft cross near the middle of the sheet in solid dark bands. Behind them sit the two turf runways, 15R/33L at 3,231 x 270 ft and 4R/22L at 2,840 x 270 ft, drawn pale and stippled and more than three times the width of the paved strips. That width difference is the whole composition. The grass runways are broad, quiet blocks; the asphalt is a thin black X laid over the top, offset just enough that the two crossings do not sit on the same point.
The field opened with a different name. It was built in 1929 and dedicated in 1930 as Curtiss-Wright Field, one of 25 such projects by the airplane manufacturer in U.S. cities, and those origins are still in the identifier: the letters WC come from Curtiss-Wright. Milwaukee County has owned it since 1947, when the field measured 131 acres. It hosted the Experimental Aircraft Association's earliest Fly-In Conventions from 1953 to 1958, and was renamed in 1959 for Lawrence J. Timmerman, chairman of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors from 1936 to 1959. In the national airport plan for 2025 through 2029 it is categorized as a regional reliever airport facility, and it is used mainly for general or private aviation.
