San Marcos Regional Airport Runway Diagram Print

San Marcos Regional (HYI) carries three asphalt runways, and the print draws all three. Runway 08/26 is the long one at 6,330 feet, running nearly horizontal across the middle of the sheet with the 8 threshold at the left edge of the field. Runway 13/31, at 5,601 feet, cuts down through it on the diagonal from upper left to lower right. Runway 17/35, at 5,214 feet, stands close to vertical along the right side and crosses 08/26 near the 26 end. Each strip is 100 feet wide, which at print scale keeps the black bars thin rather than blocky.

The field has military roots. Before it was operated as a civilian airport it was known as Gary Air Force Base, and it was the site of the Gary Army Airfield.
