Materials

Fine Art Print: pigment giclée printing on heavyweight 330 gsm (17 mil), 100% cotton Hot Press paper, on regularly calibrated giclée printers. The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.

Dimensions

Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches.

Made like something you keep.

The field itself

This is Wrightstown's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

McGuire Field (Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst) Airport Runway Diagram Print

WRI draws as two runways that lean toward each other and never touch. Runway 06/24 runs 11,451 ft on the diagonal, entering at the lower left of the plate and climbing to the upper right corner. Runway 18/36 sits off to the left, a shorter near vertical strip of 7,126 ft. Both are 150 ft wide, so on the wall they read as two black bars of equal weight and unequal reach. Their southern ends come close near the bottom of the frame, stop short, and leave an open wedge of pale ground between them.

That empty wedge is what makes this one work as artwork. The apron, taxiway loops and building blocks are held in soft greys along the top and left edges, a dense band of detail that ends abruptly, and then the middle of the field is almost bare. Only the two runways carry full black. Field elevation is 141 ft, printed under the WRI lettering with the coordinates 40.0158 N and 74.5907 W. The long runway is laid as asphalt and concrete, the short one entirely concrete, and the published magnetic variation here is 12 degrees west. None of those surface notes show up in ink, but the angles they belong to do.

The plate is composed from published airport information for charting cycle 2610, so the proportions on paper follow the published lengths and the published bearings rather than a stylised idea of an airfield. Wrightstown sits in the corridor between Trenton and Philadelphia, which makes this an easy piece to hang beside another New Jersey or Pennsylvania field if you are building a small wall of them. On its own, in the colorway you choose, it is mostly a study in one long diagonal and the quiet space beside it.

Wrightstown (WRI) print, common questions

How many runways does WRI have?

Two. Runway 06/24 and runway 18/36, and both appear on the print. They do not intersect: 06/24 crosses the plate diagonally while 18/36 runs down the left side, with their lower ends stopping short of each other.

How long are the runways at WRI?

Runway 06/24 is 11,451 ft long and 150 ft wide, surfaced in asphalt and concrete. Runway 18/36 is 7,126 ft long and 150 ft wide, surfaced in concrete. The length difference is visible at a glance on the artwork.

Where is WRI, and what is the field elevation?

WRI is McGuire Field (Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst) at Wrightstown, New Jersey, at 40.0158 N, 74.5907 W. Field elevation is 141 ft, and that figure is printed on the plate along with the coordinates.

What is WRI on this print?

WRI is the three-letter identifier for the airport, and it is the large type at the lower right of the composition. The store uses that identifier rather than the four-letter code so the piece reads the way people say the field out loud.

How accurate is the layout to the published airport diagram?

Runway positions, lengths, widths and orientations are plotted from published runway data for cycle 2610, effective 2026-09-03. This is artwork rather than a navigation document, and fine details may be simplified or omitted. Things like markings, lighting and signage fall into that category.

Does this make a good gift for someone connected to the field?

It tends to, because the geometry is recognisable to anyone who has flown or worked there. Choose from Fine Art Print, Framed Fine Art Print, Glossy Metal Print or Digital Download, in a range of sizes; the physical pieces are made to order and the download is a file.
