Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.

Dimensions

Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches.

Made like something you keep.

The field itself

This is Philadelphia's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Philadelphia International Airport Runway Diagram Print

Philadelphia International Airport works four runways, and this print plots each one to scale from the field's real layout. Three of them run nearly parallel on an east-west line across the south of the field: 9R/27L is the long one at 12,000 feet, 9L/27R sits just above it at 9,500 feet, and the shorter 8/26 reaches out toward the northeast at 5,001 feet. The fourth, 17/35, cuts across the parallels on a north-south diagonal for 6,500 feet.

That single diagonal is what gives the diagram its shape. Where 17/35 crosses the three parallel strips the composition gains a clear center of gravity, and the long run of 9R/27L anchors the bottom edge. We render the taxiways and the terminal piers in a quieter gray so the active runways read first, with the field's elevation of 36 feet and its coordinates set into the margin the way a chart would carry them.

It sits on the Northeast Corridor between New York and Washington, about seven miles from Center City. The site began as a National Guard training field on Hog Island and was dedicated as Philadelphia's municipal airport by Charles Lindbergh in 1927, years before its first proper terminal opened.

Printed to order, the diagram comes in a range of sizes and finishes, with a ground tone you choose to suit the wall. The source-based composition is recognizable to people who have flown through Philadelphia and reads as clean geometry to everyone else. Shipping within the US is free.
