The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.

Norwood Memorial Airport Runway Diagram Print
Norwood Memorial is a two runway public airport about 2 mi east of Norwood, Massachusetts, and the print draws both strips at the angles they are published at. Runway 17/35 is the longer one at 4,007 ft by 100 ft. Runway 10/28 measures 3,995 ft by 75 ft. Twelve feet separate them, which is close enough that the field reads as two nearly matched bars rather than a main runway with a short crosswind stub.
What the layout does on the sheet is the interesting part. Runway 17/35 falls from the upper left to the lower right on a steep diagonal, nearly the full height of the artwork, while 10/28 runs flat and level across the upper third. They meet high and to the left, so the crossing point sits well off center and the horizontal runway throws a long arm out to the right toward the 28 end. The apron, taxiway loops and hangar blocks are grouped in pale grey down the left side, and the bottom half of the sheet stays empty. That imbalance is what makes it hang well: a heavy diagonal, one flat counterweight, and a lot of quiet space underneath.
The history behind the field is short and specific. In 1941 Norwood was considered as the site of the state's auxiliary airport, but the legislative committee chose Bedford instead after flooding left the proposed site underwater for much of the previous spring. In 1942 a Norwood town meeting approved construction on 400 acres northeast of the Boston Metropolitan Airport, built at federal cost and available for national defense needs. From 1942 to 1945 it served as a Naval Outlying Landing Field of Naval Air Station Squantum, where student pilots built flight experience on its two runways. In 1946 the War Department turned the airport over to the town and it was renamed in memory of Norwood residents who died in World War II. Also in 1946 Wiggins Airways arrived from Boston Metropolitan Airport in Canton and ran passenger, cargo and mail routes, a flight school and a repair shop here until 2001.
