The field itself

This is Worcester's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Worcester Regional Airport Runway Diagram Print

Worcester Regional (ORH) is a two-runway field, and the print draws both of them. Runway 11/29 is the long one at 7001 feet by 150 feet, laid almost flat across the sheet with a slight tilt down to the right. Runway 15/33 is shorter at 5000 feet by 100 feet, and it drops on a steep diagonal from upper left to lower right, passing through 11/29 well over toward the eastern side of the field.

That off-center crossing is what makes the composition work as artwork. The two strips do not meet in the middle, so the long western end of 11/29 runs out into open space on its own while all of the density (the apron, the ramp buildings, the looping taxiway connectors) gathers in the upper right quadrant. You get a narrow, lopsided X with one quiet side and one busy side, which is a more interesting shape on a wall than a symmetrical cross would be. The field sits at 1009 feet of elevation, and both runways are asphalt.

Hung as a set, it reads as New England geography without repetition: Worcester's tilted X, then Boston and Providence with their own distinct footprints. Nothing here is stylized into a logo. The strips are plotted from published airport information, the identifier and coordinates sit quietly in the lower corner, and the colorway you choose decides how hard the runways read against the background.

Worcester (ORH) print, common questions

How long are the runways at Worcester Regional?

Runway 11/29 measures 7001 feet by 150 feet, and runway 15/33 measures 5000 feet by 100 feet. In the print the two cross at a shallow angle toward the eastern side of the field, with the longer strip running close to horizontal across the sheet.

What does ORH stand for and where is the airport?

ORH is the identifier for Worcester Regional in Worcester, Massachusetts, at 42.2671 N, 71.8756 W. The identifier is printed large under the layout, with the city and state below it, so the piece names itself from across the room.

What is the field elevation?

1009 feet. That number is set in the lower right block of the print along with the coordinates, which is the only text on the sheet besides the identifier, the city and the runway end numbers 11, 29, 15 and 33.

How accurate is the layout?

The artwork follows published runway data for ORH, so 11/29 and 15/33 hold their published lengths, widths and relative angles. It is composed for the wall rather than for navigation, and fine details may be simplified or omitted. Pavement markings, lighting and minor service roads are examples of what gets left out.

What formats and sizes can I get?

The ORH layout is offered as a Fine Art Print, a Framed Fine Art Print, a Glossy Metal Print and a Digital Download. Physical pieces are made to order in a range of sizes; the digital version is a file you download. The wide 11/29 strip means the horizontal proportions stay readable even at smaller sizes.

Does this work as a gift?

It works for anyone with a Worcester connection: someone who trained here, flew out of here, or grew up under the approach to 11. Because the piece is built from the field's own geometry rather than a photo, it stays specific to this airport and does not read as generic aviation decor.
