The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.

New Bedford Regional Airport Runway Diagram Print
EWB reads as an X. New Bedford Regional has two runways, and the print shows them crossing just above and left of center: 5/23 running lower left to upper right at 5,400 feet by 150 feet, and 14/32 cutting the other way, upper left to lower right, at 5,002 feet by 75 feet. Both are asphalt. The crossing sits high in the frame, which leaves the long southern legs of each runway reaching down toward the corners.
What makes the composition work is the mismatch between the two strips. One is 150 feet wide and one is 75 feet wide, so at print scale the 5/23 bar is visibly heavier than the 14/32 bar, and the X has a dominant stroke instead of two equal lines. The pale gray of the taxiways and aprons gathers along the west and south sides, hangar rows stepping out in small blocks, with one long taxiway loop swinging around the 23 end. Against the flat field color it looks like a piece of hard-edged graphic design that happens to be an airport.
The field was built between 1940 and 1942 and was soon drafted into use as New Bedford Army Air Field for the United States Army Air Forces through World War II, then taken over in 1944 by the Navy as a training post and naval auxiliary air facility. It went back to civilian use after the war. In 1960 Northeast Airlines ran Douglas DC-3s into the airport with nonstop service to New York LaGuardia, Boston and Martha's Vineyard. The current geometry is more recent than the wartime field: runway 5/23 was completely rebuilt in 2015, and in 2018 runway 14/32 was narrowed to 75 feet while keeping its length, which is the width contrast you are looking at on the wall.
