The field itself

This is Oshkosh's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Wittman Regional Airport Runway Diagram Print

Wittman Regional Airport sits about two nautical miles south of downtown Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and its diagram is built around four paved runways. The long spine is 18/36, running roughly north to south at 8,002 feet, the field's longest. A second full-length runway, 9/27, crosses east to west near the top of the plan at 6,179 feet, while the two shorter strips, 5/23 and 13/31, cut across each other on the diagonal to form a tight X just below the flightline of hangars and apron. Plotted to scale from the real field, that stacked, crossing geometry is what makes the print read as Oshkosh and nowhere else.

Charted on the Chicago sectional and worked by Chicago Center, Wittman is a quiet county general-aviation field for most of the year. Oshkosh is the home of EAA AirVenture, the Experimental Aircraft Association's annual experimental-aircraft and sport-aviation fly-in, and by traffic movements no airport anywhere tops Wittman Regional during the show. The everyday layout on this print is the offseason version of the field: when AirVenture arrives, the diagonal runways 5/23 and 13/31 close and temporary strips go in to absorb the flood of arriving aircraft.

The field carries the name of Steve Wittman, the air racer, designer, and builder for whom it was renamed in 1972, and it is still known as Wittman Field. Scheduled airline service ended in 2003, and its general-aviation character is part of why the diagram stays so readable: runways, taxiways, and apron come through as clean geometry rather than a crowded terminal footprint. We render that plan at full detail on a calm ground tone you choose, sized for framing, so the shape of one of the best-known fields in general aviation hangs as a quiet, source-based piece of art.
