Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.

Dimensions

Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches.

Made like something you keep.

The field itself

This is Marathon's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

The Florida Keys Marathon International Airport Runway Diagram Print

MTH is a one runway field, and the print is honest about that. Runway 07/25 measures 5,008 by 100 feet of asphalt, and it lands on the sheet as a single dark diagonal climbing from the lower left corner toward the upper right. Everything else, the parallel taxiway, the apron, the hangar blocks and the fanned rows of tie-downs, gathers along the lower side of that line, so the composition is one long stroke with a run of small gray shapes hanging off it. There is no crossing strip and no second angle to balance it, which is exactly why it hangs well: a lot of open paper, one confident line, a label reading ELEV 7 FT.

The field sits along the Overseas Highway (US1) in Marathon, in Monroe County, and it covers 197 acres. It was built by the Belcher Oil Company for the Civil Aeronautics Administration, with the project started in 1942 and finished in 1943, and it served as a Navy Outlying Field and an auxiliary airfield to Naval Air Station Key West. Airlines flew scheduled passenger service from here nonstop to Miami at various times from 1975 to 1999, using prop and turboprop equipment. Customs and Border Protection service returned to the airport in 2016. As of 2026 the field handles charter operations and no scheduled passenger airline service.

Plotted from published runway data, the diagram keeps the geometry a pilot would recognize: the 07 threshold out at the southwest end past the tie-down rows, the 25 threshold up beside the terminal apron, both numbers set into the strip itself. The coordinates and the elevation sit under the identifier at the bottom right, so the print reads as a record of a specific place rather than generic wall decor. In the colorway you choose it works as a quiet single piece over a desk, or paired with another Keys or South Florida field for people who fly the chain.

Marathon (MTH) print, common questions

How many runways does MTH have, and how long are they?

One. Runway 07/25 is 5,008 feet long and 100 feet wide, with an asphalt surface. That single strip is the whole runway story of the field, and it is the main line in the print.

Where is MTH and what is the code?

MTH is the identifier for The Florida Keys Marathon International in Marathon, Florida, along the Overseas Highway (US1) in Monroe County. The airport covers 197 acres. MTH is the code set in large type at the bottom of the print, with the coordinates printed beneath it.

How high is the field?

7 feet. The elevation is shown in the artwork as ELEV 7 FT, which is part of why the layout reads the way it does: a low, flat island field with one strip laid along it.

How accurate is the diagram?

It is plotted from published airport information, so runway 07/25 appears at its published length, width and orientation, with the taxiway and apron in their published positions relative to it. This is a print and not a navigation chart, and fine details may be simplified or omitted. Approach lighting, pavement markings and small signage are the usual examples.

What sizes and finishes are available?

Several standard sizes, printed to order as a fine art print, framed or on metal. Because MTH is a single diagonal runway with a lot of open field around it, the larger sizes give that line room to breathe, while the smaller sizes stay crisp because there is little fine detail to lose.

Is this a good gift for a Keys pilot?

Yes, particularly for anyone who has flown the island chain or based an aircraft on the Marathon apron. It reads as a specific field rather than a generic aviation print, since the runway designators, coordinates and elevation are all on the sheet.
