The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.

Dimensions

Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches.

Made like something you keep.

The field itself

This is Hollywood's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

North Perry Airport Runway Diagram Print

North Perry fits four runways into one square of ground, and the print draws all four. Two run east to west, two run north to south, and they meet at four intersections, so the field reads as a grid rather than the usual X or V. The longest is 10R/28L at 3463 feet, holding the southern edge. Its parallel neighbor above it, 10L/28R, measures 3241 feet. The north to south pair runs 3260 feet (01R/19L) and 3000 feet (01L/19R). Every one of the four is asphalt and every one is 100 feet wide, which is why the black bars carry the same weight in both directions.

That repetition is what makes the layout work on a wall. Four solid bars, four crossings, and a block of pale taxiway caught inside them like a window frame. The edges are where it loosens up: apron and hangar rows spread across the lower third in soft grey, a curved ramp boundary rounds off the east side, and a small tie down grid sits alone out west. Designators ride sideways on the bars, 19R and 19L at the top, 1L and 1R at the bottom, 10L and 10R at the left with 28R and 28L opposite. The ident, the city and state, the coordinates and the 9 foot field elevation sit quietly in the bottom corner.

Hollywood sits between Fort Lauderdale to the north and Miami to the south, which makes this one a natural pairing piece for anyone collecting the fields of the southeast Florida coast. At a larger size the grid stays legible from across a room and the hangar rows resolve as you walk up to it. Smaller, it works as a graphic square of black on whatever ground the colorway you choose provides.

Hollywood (HWO) print, common questions

How many runways does North Perry have, and how are they arranged?

Four. Two run east to west and two run north to south, crossing each other in a grid: 10R/28L, 10L/28R, 01R/19L and 01L/19R. The print shows all four and the four intersections between them.

How long is the longest runway at HWO?

3463 feet, which is runway 10R/28L. The other three measure 3260 feet, 3241 feet and 3000 feet. All four are 100 feet wide and all four are asphalt.

Where is HWO and what is the field elevation?

HWO is the identifier for North Perry in Hollywood, Florida, at 26.0013 degrees north and 80.2407 degrees west. Field elevation is 9 feet, and that figure is printed with the coordinates in the lower corner of the artwork.

How accurate is the diagram?

The layout is plotted from published airport information, so runway positions, crossings and relative lengths follow the published data for the field. It is composed as artwork, not as a navigation document, and fine details may be simplified or omitted. Pavement markings, lighting and signage are examples of what gets left out.

What sizes and finishes can I get this in?

It comes as a Fine Art Print, a Framed Fine Art Print, a Glossy Metal Print or a Digital Download, in a range of sizes. Physical pieces are made to order in the colorway you choose; the digital option is a file you print yourself.

Is this a good gift for a pilot who trained here?

It tends to land well with anyone who logged time on this field, because the four runway grid is instantly recognizable and the designators are readable on the bars. A framed piece gives it presence without any wrapping effort on your part.
