Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches.

Made like something you keep.

The field itself

This is Menominee's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Menominee Regional Airport Runway Diagram Print

Menominee Regional has two paved runways, and the print earns its shape from where they meet. Runway 03/21 is the long one at 6,001 ft by 100 ft; runway 14/32 measures 5,101 ft by 100 ft. Both are asphalt, and the field sits at 625 ft of elevation, a figure the print carries under the coordinates in the lower corner.

On the paper the crossing lands well off center, close to the 03 threshold and the 14 threshold, so the two strips splay apart toward the east like a wide V with a short tail behind it. Everything built sits to the right: a taxiway that curves back from the 21 end, a spine running south past the apron, then rows of small hangar blocks and one heavier building near the bottom. The rest of the sheet is open, which is the point. Two black strokes at odd angles, a pale gray armature holding them, and a lot of quiet around it.

Menominee is the county seat of Menominee County, up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and the Wikipedia county article lists the field as publicly owned and open to public use in the northwest part of the city. Marinette County, Wisconsin lies across the Menominee River to the west. M-35 runs northeast out of town along the edge of Green Bay and into Delta County, where the neighboring print in this series is Escanaba. The county name comes from an Ojibwe word meaning wild rice eater, which is a better piece of local history than most airport walls get to hang.

Menominee (MNM) print, common questions

How many runways does Menominee Regional have?

Two. Runway 03/21 is 6,001 ft long and 100 ft wide, and runway 14/32 is 5,101 ft long and 100 ft wide. Both are asphalt, and both are drawn on the print with their end designators marked.

What does MNM mean, and where is the airport?

MNM is the identifier for Menominee Regional in Menominee, Michigan, in the Upper Peninsula. The print sets the code in large type with the city, state and coordinates below it.

How high is the field?

625 ft above sea level, printed as ELEV 625 FT in the caption block so the number reads at arm's length.

How accurate is the diagram?

The runway centerlines, their crossing point and the taxiway and apron shapes are plotted from published airport information for MNM, including the published lengths and widths for 03/21 and 14/32. Fine details may be simplified or omitted so the layout reads cleanly at print size. It is a design piece for a wall, not a navigation document.

What sizes are available?

Several standard print sizes, with the linework tuned for whichever colorway you choose. The off center crossing holds up small, and the open space around it rewards going large.

Does this work as a gift?

It does, especially for someone who learned to fly here, keeps a hangar on the east side of the field, or grew up in Menominee County. Made to order, with free US shipping.
