Kansas City/Lee's Summit Regional Airport Runway Diagram Print

LXT reads on the wall as a lopsided cross. Runway 18/36, 5,501 by 100 feet, runs nearly straight down the sheet as the long dark spine, and runway 11/29, 4,000 by 75 feet, cuts across it on a northwest to southeast diagonal, meeting it well above center rather than in the middle. That off-balance intersection is what makes the composition work: the eye lands on the crossing point first, then follows the 29 end out toward the lower right corner, where the pavement simply stops in open paper.

The field itself is compact and honest about it. Kansas City/Lee's Summit Regional is a public use airport owned by the City of Lee's Summit, sitting three nautical miles north of the city's central business district on 486 acres at an elevation of 1,004 feet above mean sea level. Both runways are concrete. In 2020 the airport handled 52,500 aircraft operations, an average of 144 per day, which is the kind of steady light traffic the diagram implies without ever saying so. In 2025 the city announced a new name for the field, Greater Kansas City Regional Airport.

Most of the visual texture lives in the upper left, where rows of small hangar blocks and a ladder of taxiway loops crowd against the 18 end while the rest of the print stays quiet.
