The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.

Independence Municipal Airport Runway Diagram Print
Independence Municipal (IDP) is a two-runway field in southeast Kansas at 825 feet of elevation, and the print draws both strips. Runway 17/35 runs almost straight down the sheet at 5,501 by 100 feet, the spine that everything else hangs off. Runway 04/22 is the shorter one, 3,402 by 60 feet, cutting in on a diagonal from the lower left with its 22 end stopping just short of the long strip instead of crossing it. On a wall that reads as an open wedge: two clean lines meeting at a point they never quite reach, with the apron, taxiway loops and hangar blocks massed in a grey band down the right side. A national airport plan for 2011 through 2015 categorized the field a general aviation facility.
The field began as Independence Army Airfield. Pilot training for the Second Air Force ran from 1942 through 1945, and after the war the site held excess equipment and supplies. The airfield was closed by the Air Force in 1947 and ownership passed to the City of Independence for use as a municipal airport. In 2008 tower operations commenced, with the first takeoff clearance given to a newly built Cessna 172R. That inheritance is part of why the diagram carries more width and apron than a small-town field usually does.
As art, the appeal here is restraint. There is no braid of parallel runways to decode, just a long vertical, a diagonal, and a lot of quiet paper around them, which is why the composition holds up at a distance and rewards a closer look at the taxiway stubs and building outlines.
