The field itself

This is Las Vegas's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Henderson Executive Airport Runway Diagram Print

Henderson Executive is a two runway field, and both runways run parallel, so the print is built out of two long vertical strips and almost nothing else. The left strip is 17R/35L at 6,501 by 100 feet. The right strip is 17L/35R at 5,001 by 75 feet, and both surfaces are asphalt. Their north ends sit close to level with each other, but at the south end the shorter strip stops well before the long one keeps running, which throws the pair pleasantly off balance. Short connecting taxiways cross the gap between them like the rungs of a ladder, and that repeating pattern is the detail people lean in for.

The airport sits in Henderson, Nevada, south of Las Vegas, in Clark County. Arby Alper founded it in 1967 on land bought from the city of Henderson, and it opened in 1970 under the name Sky Harbor Airport. Clark County bought the field in 1996 and renamed it Henderson Executive Airport. A national plan of integrated airport systems for 2009 through 2013 categorized it as a reliever airport. The caption block carries the identifier, the coordinates and the field elevation of 2,491 feet, high enough that the number does real work on a Mojave field.

As art, the appeal is the imbalance. All of the built weight (apron, ramp, rows of hangars) is massed on the west side of the long runway, so the drawing hangs left of center and the right half of the sheet stays open. The two black strips read as the loudest lines from across a room, whatever the colorway you choose, and the small runway designators reward a closer look. Hang it beside the Bullhead City or Cedar City sheets if you are building a desert row.

Las Vegas (HND) print, common questions

How many runways does Henderson Executive have, and what are they?

Two, and they are parallel. 17R/35L measures 6,501 by 100 feet and 17L/35R measures 5,001 by 75 feet. Both are asphalt. The print draws both, side by side, with the taxiway connections between them.

How long is the longest runway at HND?

6,501 feet, 100 feet wide: runway 17R/35L, the left hand strip on the print and the one that runs furthest down the sheet.

Where is Henderson Executive, and how high is the field?

It is in Henderson, Nevada, south of Las Vegas in Clark County, and the field elevation is 2,491 feet. Both the elevation and the coordinates, 35.9729 N and 115.1344 W, are printed in the caption block.

What does the code HND mean here?

HND is this airport's U.S. location identifier and the code shown on the print. Most American airports use one three letter code everywhere, but this field is HSH to IATA, because IATA assigned HND to Haneda Airport in Tokyo. Its ICAO identifier is KHND.

How closely does the print follow the published layout?

The runways, designators and the parallel arrangement are plotted from published airport information for charting cycle 2609, effective 2026-08-06. It is a print first, so finer detail such as markings, lighting, signage and smaller service pavement may be simplified or left out entirely.

Is this a good gift for a pilot who flies out of Henderson?

It works well for anyone who knows the parallels here, since the shape is recognizable at a glance rather than generic. It comes in more than one size, so the two strips can run small next to a desk or large enough to anchor a wall, and it is made to order with free shipping in the US.
