The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.

Dimensions

Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches.

Made like something you keep.

The field itself

This is Farmingdale's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Republic Airport Runway Diagram Print

Two runways cross near the center of this print, and that crossing carries the whole composition. Runway 14/32 is the long diagonal, 6,833 feet by 150 feet of asphalt, running from the 14 end at the upper left down to 32 at the lower right. Runway 01/19 is the near vertical one, 5,517 feet by 150 feet, labeled 19 at the top of the sheet and 1 at the bottom. Field elevation is 82 feet, set in the corner block under the identifier.

The rest of the sheet stays in soft gray: taxiway loops, apron edges, a dense run of hangars and ramp toward the lower left, thinner connectors reaching north toward the 19 threshold. That gray does the quiet work. It gives the two black strips something to sit against, so the X reads from across a room and the taxiway detail only shows up when someone steps in close. Two runways of different lengths meeting off center is a more interesting shape than a symmetrical one, and this field has it.

The airport sits in East Farmingdale on Long Island, immediately east of the village of Farmingdale. Sherman Fairchild developed the flying field here in late 1927, and Republic built more than 9,000 P-47 Thunderbolts in Farmingdale during World War II. The long diagonal carries some of that history: Republic Aviation extended Runway 14/32 to the southeast during the Korean War years, which is why it runs so far past the other strip. In 2011, a national airport systems plan categorized the field as a general aviation reliever. On a wall it sits easily next to other Northeast field diagrams, White Plains or Westhampton Beach among them, and it means something specific to anyone who trained here, kept an airplane here, or spent Saturday mornings watching the pattern.

Farmingdale (FRG) print, common questions

How many runways does Republic Airport have, and how long are they?

Two. Runway 14/32 is 6,833 feet by 150 feet of asphalt, and Runway 01/19 is 5,517 feet by 150 feet of asphalt. The longer of the pair, 14/32, is the diagonal that runs corner to corner on the print.

How high is the field?

Field elevation is 82 feet. It is printed in the corner block with the coordinates, 40.7293 degrees N and 73.4134 degrees W, so the sheet stands on its own without a caption.

What is FRG and where is the airport?

FRG is the identifier for Republic Airport, in East Farmingdale, New York, on Long Island, immediately east of the village of Farmingdale. That identifier is the large type at the lower right of the print.

How closely does the print follow the published layout?

The runway pair, their relative lengths and the angle where they cross are drawn to scale from published airport information for the cycle effective 2026-08-06. It is a print rather than a chart, so fine details may be simplified or omitted, including markings, lighting, signage and smaller structures. Do not use it for navigation.

What sizes are available?

The diagram has a wide margin around the layout. The runway shapes stay crisp at the smaller sizes, while the larger ones let the gray taxiway and hangar detail read properly. Each one ships in the colorway you choose.

Does it work as a gift?

It does, especially for a pilot who learned to fly on Long Island, a controller, a mechanic, or anyone with hours logged at this field. The crossing runways read as a graphic first, so it hangs comfortably in an office or hallway for people who have no idea what a threshold marking is.
