Shipping and Returns
Physical prints are made to order in 2 to 3 business days; shipping time is added on top and varies by your location and the method you choose. Standard shipping is free across the US. Orders containing only paper prints ship flat, though paper may retain a slight curl; orders with framed or metal pieces ship in separate boxes. Digital downloads are delivered by email, so there is nothing to ship.
The Digital Download is a JPEG at 300 dpi, sized for 24 by 30 inches. The digital add-on matches the selected physical print size at 300 dpi. Download links arrive by email and stay active for 30 days; save the file within that time and keep it for personal, non-commercial use. No physical item is shipped.
Physical products have a 30-day money-back guarantee. Contact us within 30 days of delivery to request a refund; we may require a return before issuing it.
Digital downloads are non-refundable once delivered, except where required by law or where AirportPrints determines that a delivery failure or technical issue was caused by AirportPrints.
Materials
Fine Art Print: pigment giclée printing on heavyweight 330 gsm (17 mil), 100% cotton Hot Press paper, on regularly calibrated giclée printers. The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.
Digital Download: a high-resolution JPEG for personal, non-commercial use. No physical paper, frame, or metal panel is included.
Dimensions
Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches.
Framed Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches, measured across the mat and acrylic area inside the frame. The mat sits within that area, so the visible image is about 6 x 8, 12 x 16, or 18 x 24 inches. The outside frame is larger than the listed size.
Glossy Metal Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches. During sublimation, 1/8 to 1/4 inch of the artwork may be cropped, so the printed edge can differ slightly from the preview.
Digital Download: a 7200 x 9000 pixel JPEG at 300 dpi for 24 x 30 inch printing. A digital add-on instead matches the selected physical size: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, or 24 x 30 inches at 300 dpi.
Made like something you keep.
The field itself
This is Elmira/Corning's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.
Museum-quality cotton paper
Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.
Solid wood framing or glossy metal
Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Elmira/Corning Regional Airport Runway Diagram Print
Elmira/Corning Regional reads as one long diagonal crossed by one long horizontal. Runway 06/24, 8001 feet by 150 feet of asphalt, climbs the sheet from the lower left to the upper right and carries the most weight on the wall. Runway 10/28, 5404 feet by 150 feet, runs dead level across the lower third and cuts through 06/24 well left of center. That off-center crossing is what keeps the composition from feeling symmetrical, and it is the first thing anyone standing in front of the print notices.
The third runway is the quiet one. Runway 05/23 is 2016 feet by 150 feet of turf, and it is drawn as a short stippled band set off to the northeast of the big asphalt diagonal, running parallel to it rather than touching it. The stipple does the explaining: paved surfaces render solid, grass renders as texture, so the surface difference is legible from across a room without a legend. Above and left of the crossing, taxiway ribbons and the terminal apron gather into a loose spine of pale shapes, which balances the empty ground on the right side of the field.
The airport sits in Chemung County, just north of the Southern Tier Expressway (Interstate 86), serving the Southern Tier of New York and the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania, with general aviation and glider activity on the field. The long diagonal was not always long: the northeast/southwest runway was extended again and again before reaching its present 8001 feet, and an early north/south runway was abandoned outright, which is why nothing on this sheet points straight up. Ithaca and Binghamton hold the other fields in the area. Field elevation is 955 feet, printed under the identifier in the lower corner along with the coordinates.
Elmira/Corning (ELM) print, common questions
How many runways does ELM have, and how are they drawn on the print?
Three. Runway 06/24 is 8001 feet by 150 feet of asphalt and runs as the long diagonal; 10/28 is 5404 feet by 150 feet of asphalt and runs horizontally, crossing 06/24 to form an X; 05/23 is 2016 feet by 150 feet of turf and appears as a short textured band parallel to 06/24 and set apart from it.
What is the longest runway at Elmira/Corning Regional?
Runway 06/24, at 8001 feet long and 150 feet wide, asphalt. It is the dominant line in the artwork, running corner to corner across the sheet.
Where is ELM and what is the field elevation?
ELM is the identifier for Elmira/Corning Regional in Elmira/Corning, New York, in Chemung County, about 7 miles northwest of Elmira and 8 miles east of Corning. Field elevation is 955 feet, and that figure is printed on the artwork along with the coordinates.
How accurate is the layout?
The runways, taxiways and aprons are plotted from published airport information for the current charting cycle, including the 8001 foot length of 06/24, the crossing geometry with 10/28, and the turf surface of 05/23. This is artwork made for a wall, so fine details may be simplified or omitted. Pavement markings and small sign panels are the usual examples.
What formats and finishes can I get this in?
Fine Art Print, Framed Fine Art Print, Glossy Metal Print and Digital Download, in a range of sizes and in the colorway you choose. Physical pieces are made to order; the digital option is a file you download. The ELM diagonal suits a tall vertical space, since the 06/24 line fills the frame corner to corner.
Is this a good gift for someone connected to Elmira?
It works for pilots who have flown into ELM, for glider people, and for anyone who grew up in the Southern Tier. The identifier and coordinates are set in the lower corner, so the airport is named without needing a caption, and the crossed runway shape is recognizable to anyone who knows the field.
