Modesto City-County-Harry Sham Field Runway Diagram Print

MOD draws as two parallel runways on the same heading, one stacked above the other, running as a single long diagonal across the sheet. The main strip, 10L/28R, is 5,904 feet by 150 feet of asphalt. Its shorter partner, 10R/28L, measures 3,464 feet by 100 feet. The field sits at 99 feet of elevation, low Central Valley ground. Everything built up (apron, hangar rows, terminal blocks) is massed toward the northwest end, so the composition has weight at one corner and clean open pavement running away from it.

Modesto opened in 1918 as the nation's first municipally owned airport and moved to this site in 1929.
