The field itself

This is Byron's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Byron Airport Runway Diagram Print

Byron (C83) puts two asphalt runways on the sheet, and in the drawing they never cross: 12/30 and 05/23 run out from a shared corner at the lower right and open into a wide V. Runway 12/30 is the long leg at 4,500 by 100 feet. Runway 05/23 is the shorter and narrower one at 3,000 by 75 feet, and that difference is visible in the artwork as a noticeably thinner bar. Two dark strips on an open ground, held at the angle they are held at, carry the whole composition.

The pale taxiway system fills the middle of the frame. A parallel taxiway shadows 12/30 for most of its run, connectors step across at intervals, and an apron of small rectangles sits off one side toward the 12 end. The header block stays quiet: the identifier C83, the field name, the coordinates and the elevation of 79 feet. Magnetic variation here is 15E, and the angle between the two runways follows the published runway data rather than being squared off for tidiness.

Hung on its own, the V reads as geometry first and as a field diagram second, which is why this layout holds a wall better than a single strip would. The Livermore print can hang beside this one. The same drawing is offered across sizes and formats, so the colorway you choose sets how loud or quiet those two bars sit in a room.

Byron (C83) print, common questions

How many runways does C83 have?

Two. Runway 12/30 measures 4,500 by 100 feet and runway 05/23 measures 3,000 by 75 feet. Both are asphalt, and both appear in the print.

What is the longest runway at C83?

Runway 12/30 at 4,500 feet. It is also the wider of the pair at 100 feet, which is why it reads as the dominant line in the artwork.

What does C83 refer to, and how high is the field?

C83 is the identifier for Byron, in Byron, California. Field elevation is 79 feet, and that figure is printed in the header alongside the coordinates.

How accurate is the layout in this print?

It follows published airport information for C83: two runways, their designators, their relative lengths and widths, and the angle where they converge. The drawing is a reduction, so fine details may be simplified or omitted. Surface paint, edge lighting and sign panels sit below the level of detail this composition keeps.

What sizes and formats can I get?

The C83 artwork comes in a range of sizes as a Fine Art Print, a Framed Fine Art Print, a Glossy Metal Print or a Digital Download. The composition stays the same in every format, so the choice is about scale and surface.

Does this work as a gift?

Yes, because the header makes it specific rather than generic: the identifier C83, the field name Byron, the coordinates and the 79 foot elevation. If a file suits the occasion better than a physical piece, the digital format covers that.
