The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.

Cincinnati Municipal/Lunken Field Runway Diagram Print
LUK is a two runway field, and on this print the two strips lean toward each other until they almost touch near the top right corner. Runway 03/21 is the long one, 6,101 by 150 feet of asphalt, climbing the right side of the sheet from the end marked 3 to the end marked 21. Runway 07/25 angles in from the lower left, 5,127 by 100 feet, and stops just short of its neighbor. Nothing crosses. What you get is a narrow wedge of black with a wide open infield inside it, taxiways and apron looping the bottom, and hangar rows stacked down the left edge. Field elevation is 482 feet.
The field sits three miles east of downtown Cincinnati, hemmed in by the Ohio River to the south and the Little Miami River to the east, and that boxed in ground is a good part of why the shape leans the way it does. It was Cincinnati's main airport until 1947. It also earned the nickname Sunken Lunken: in the Ohio River flood of 1937 the airfield and the two story main terminal went under water, with the high water mark still marked on the terminal building. The name itself comes from Eshelby Lunken, for whom the field was named in 1925, the same year the Embry-Riddle Company was formed here. Charles Lindbergh landed at Lunken in 1927 and was mobbed by well wishers. A bicycle path runs the perimeter today, part of it riding on top of the flood levees.
As art, the appeal is the geometry doing something unusual. Most two runway fields give you an X or a pair of parallels. This one gives you a long thin triangle, wide at the bottom, pinched almost shut at the top, with all the built clutter pushed to one side so the empty middle carries the weight. From across a room it reads as a single graphic mark. Up close there are taxiway fillets, individual hangar footprints and the four runway end numbers to work through.
