The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.

Fairbanks International Airport Runway Diagram Print
Fairbanks International runs on one axis, and that is what makes this print work. Every runway in the published data is aligned 02/20, so the field arrives on the wall as a set of parallel strokes climbing from the lower left corner toward the upper right. The long one is 11,800 by 150 feet of asphalt, labeled 2L at the bottom and 20R at the top. Set off to the southeast, a second dark bar covers 4,510 by 75 feet, also asphalt, running the same heading at roughly a third the length. The published data lists a third strip, 2,900 by 75 feet of gravel, which does not carry the same dark weight in the drawing.
The airport is state owned and public use, sitting southwest of downtown Fairbanks. It opened in 1951 and took over the scheduled airline traffic that had previously used Ladd Army Airfield, and by 1967 Alaska Airlines had shifted its Alaska hub down to Anchorage. Pan American World Airways had served the city since 1932, running short-haul routes to Juneau, Seattle and other points. In 2009 the airport finished a new terminal on the northwest side of the field, which is the side where this print stacks its densest run of buildings, apron shapes and hangar blocks along the long runway.
