Materials

Fine Art Print: pigment giclée printing on heavyweight 330 gsm (17 mil), 100% cotton Hot Press paper, on regularly calibrated giclée printers. The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.

Dimensions

Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches.

Made like something you keep.

The field itself

This is Eagle's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Eagle County Regional Airport Runway Diagram Print

Eagle County Regional Airport has one runway, 07/25, at 9,000 by 150 feet, so the diagram is a single long line laid almost flat across the sheet. It runs west to east with a slight rise, the 7 threshold at the left and the 25 threshold at the right, and a parallel taxiway shadows it along the south side with a run of connector loops between the two. The ramps, terminal and hangar blocks gather on that south side toward the east end, while a separate apron and building group sits off to the north of the runway. Field elevation is 6,547 feet above sea level and magnetic variation is 9E, which is a lot of the story of this airport in two numbers.

The site on Cooley Mesa traces back to a plot Louise Ellen Cooley bought in 1911, and barnstormers used the strip before it was anything official. New plans were drawn up in 1939 by an engineer from Denver, and the field was formally dedicated on September 14, 1947. Runway 7 was placed on its present alignment by December 1987, which opened the field to larger jets, and a repaving and extension project in 2008 and 2009 took the runway to 9,000 feet. The airport sits in Gypsum, about 4 miles from Eagle and 37 miles from Vail, covering 632 acres. Service is heavily seasonal, with more flights in winter than in the rest of the year, and the airport counted 563,000 total passengers in 2024.

One runway at high elevation makes for a spare, horizontal composition, and the print leaves it that way rather than dressing it up. Runway designators, length and width follow the published figures, and the taxiway, apron and hangar edges are reduced to flat geometry over the ground tone you choose. It is original wall art composed from published airport information and available field depictions, printed to order at a size that reads from across a room and holds its detail up close.

Eagle (EGE) print, common questions

How many runways does Eagle County Regional Airport have?

One. Runway 07/25 is 9,000 by 150 feet, asphalt. On the print it reads as a single near horizontal line with its parallel taxiway just below it.

How long is the runway at EGE, and how high is the field?

Runway 07/25 is 9,000 feet long and 150 feet wide. Field elevation is 6,547 feet above sea level, and that figure is printed in the margin.

What does EGE stand for and where is the airport?

EGE is the IATA code for Eagle County Regional Airport, which sits in Gypsum, Colorado, about 4 miles from Eagle and 37 miles from Vail, near 39.64 north, 106.92 west.

Is the diagram accurate to the real airport?

The runway designators, dimensions and the taxiway geometry beside the runway come from published airport information for the field. It is original wall art, not a chart: fine details may be simplified or omitted, including minor taxiway markings, signage and small structures, and it is not for navigation.

What sizes are available, and does this work as a gift?

Each print is made to order in several sizes and finishes, on a ground tone you choose at checkout. It suits skiers who fly into the valley every winter, mountain pilots, and anyone who has watched that approach come down between the ridges.
