The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.

Dimensions

Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches.

Made like something you keep.

The field itself

This is Bartow's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Bartow Executive Airport Runway Diagram Print

Bartow Executive runs three asphalt runways, and the print draws all three. Two of them sit parallel across the sheet, 9L/27R above and 9R/27L below, with the 05/23 strip cutting diagonally from the lower left corner up through both of them. That diagonal is what makes the composition work: without it you would have two flat bars, and with it the field reads as a long narrow wedge with a bright crossing point near the middle. Published lengths back up what your eye does with it. 05/23 measures 5001 feet by 100 feet, 9L/27R measures 5000 feet by 150 feet, and 9R/27L is the short one at 4416 feet by 150 feet. Field elevation is 125 feet.

The airport covers 1,846 acres in Polk County, and the print keeps that context in a lighter tone: taxiway loops wrapping the south and east edges, and the apron and hangar rows gathered at the top of the frame. History is dense here. The city began buying land in 1941, the site became an Army Air Forces training field through World War II, and it served as a primary flight training base for the Air Force from 1951 to 1960. The entrance you drive through today is the former air base main gate, and the name Bartow Executive Airport dates to 2019. A contract control tower works the field daily from 0730 to 1730 local time.

On a wall this one is quiet and geometric, which is why the small stuff matters: runway end labels sit right on the black strips, the coordinates and elevation line up under the identifier, and there is a lot of open ground around the field so the shape has room to breathe. It suits a hangar office, a study, or a hallway with other Florida fields beside it. Lakeland is close enough to hang as a pair, and Tampa works if you want a bigger airport in the group. Every size and finish is made to order, and the colorway you choose changes the mood far more than it changes the geometry.

Bartow (BOW) print, common questions

How many runways does Bartow Executive have, and how are they arranged?

Three. Two run parallel to each other, 9L/27R and 9R/27L, and the third, 05/23, crosses both on a diagonal. That crossing is the visual anchor of the print.

What is the longest runway at BOW?

05/23, at 5001 feet long and 100 feet wide. 9L/27R is 5000 feet by 150 feet, and 9R/27L is 4416 feet by 150 feet. All three surfaces are asphalt.

Where is the airport, and how high is the field?

It is a public airport four miles northeast of Bartow, in Polk County, Florida. Field elevation is 125 feet, which is printed under the identifier on the sheet.

What do BOW and KBOW mean?

BOW is the identifier for Bartow Executive Airport and the code set large on the print. KBOW is the ICAO version of the same airport. The sheet carries BOW.

How closely does the print follow the published layout?

Runway positions, relative lengths and orientations are plotted from published airport information for this field, so the parallel pair and the diagonal sit where the charted layout puts them. It is a wall print rather than a navigation document, and fine details may be simplified or omitted. Lighting, markings and small service roads are examples of what gets left out.

Does this make a good gift?

It works well for anyone who trained, based an aircraft, or worked at Bartow, since the layout is recognizable from the air at a glance. Multiple sizes and finishes are available, and each one is made to order.
