The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.

Wrangell Airport Runway Diagram Print
Wrangell has one runway, 10/28, and the print gives that single strip the whole page. It runs 6,000 feet long and 150 feet wide on an asphalt surface, and in the drawing it crosses the sheet as one long diagonal from upper left to lower right, numbered 10 at the high end and 28 at the low end. Nothing intersects it. There is no second strip to balance against, so the composition rests entirely on that one line and the angle it takes.
The angle is what makes it work as art. A runway drawn straight across a page reads as a rule; drawn on a diagonal it reads as motion. Off the left side of the strip sits the gray apron and taxiway shape, a wide rectangle with two connectors curving up to meet the pavement and three small parking blocks stepped along its lower edge. That cluster gives the eye somewhere to land after following the diagonal, and it sits close enough to the runway that the two read as one object rather than two.
Everything positional here comes from published airport information: the runway designators, the 6,000 by 150 foot footprint, the 44 foot field elevation printed in the corner beside the coordinates. The layout is reduced to flat shapes and left to carry itself. The Petersburg print can hang beside this one.
At larger sizes the length of the strip is the point, since a 6,000 foot runway rendered end to end wants room. Smaller, it becomes a graphic mark with a code under it. The colorway you choose sets the temperature, but the geometry stays the same in each.
