Description

A runway diagram map print of Barkley Regional Airport (PAH), made from the airport's own layout for the place it holds in your life. Choose your colorway and your format: a fine art giclée print on cotton paper, a framed fine art print, a glossy metal print or a digital download.

Your fine art print is made to order with pigment inks on heavyweight, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, a 330 gsm sheet with a high color gamut and deep black density. The acid-free, archival-grade paper has a smooth matte surface. Supplied unframed, ready for your own frame.

The field itself

This is Paducah's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.

Museum-quality cotton paper

Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.

Solid wood framing or glossy metal

Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

Barkley Regional Airport Runway Diagram Print

Barkley Regional draws as a broad X. Runway 5/23, 6,500 by 150 feet, runs from lower left to upper right; runway 14/32, 5,499 by 150 feet, runs from upper left to lower right, and the two cross a little below the center of the sheet. Both are asphalt, both share the same width, and neither one dominates, which is what keeps the figure balanced at any print size. The field sits at 410 feet.

The two strips are inked solid while the taxiways, apron and building footprints stay in soft gray, so the X reads first and the supporting pavement fills in as you step closer. On the right side that gray thickens into an apron with a row of small structures along it, the one piece of asymmetry in an otherwise even composition. The identifier, coordinates and the 410 foot elevation sit quietly in the lower corner.

The name honors Alben W. Barkley, the former Vice President of the United States who came from western Kentucky. The field began as a military airfield in 1941, used to support B-17 bomber crew training, and the government deeded the land to the city of Paducah and McCracken County in 1945 for civilian use.

Scheduled flying goes back a long way here: the first airline departure, a Chicago and Southern Air Lines DC-3, left in 1946. In 1976 the Official Airline Guide listed two carriers at the field, Delta with jets nonstop from Evansville and Memphis, and Ozark with flights from Nashville, Louisville and St. Louis. None of that history is visible in the drawing. What you hang on the wall is the shape all of it used.

Paducah (PAH) print, common questions

How many runways does Barkley Regional have, and how long are they?

Two. Runway 5/23 is 6,500 by 150 feet and runway 14/32 is 5,499 by 150 feet, both asphalt. Both are drawn on the print, crossing just below the middle of the sheet to form the X.

What does PAH stand for?

PAH is the three letter identifier for Barkley Regional in Paducah, Kentucky. It is the code set in large type at the lower right of the print, with the city, state, coordinates and field elevation stacked beneath it.

Where is the airport, and how high is the field?

Field elevation is 410 feet, at roughly 37.0603 N, 88.7730 W in McCracken County, west of Paducah in western Kentucky. Those coordinates are shown in the artwork.

How closely does the print follow the published layout?

It is plotted from published runway data for cycle 2609, effective 2026-08-06, so the runway designators, their relative lengths and the angle at which they cross follow that data. Fine details are simplified or omitted on purpose: taxiway markings, lighting, signage and smaller pavement edges are reduced or left out for legibility. It is wall art, not a navigation document.

What sizes are available?

The diagram is composed to hold up across the size range, from a small desk-side piece to a large statement print, because the crossing runways stay legible as the sheet scales. Each one is printed to order in the colorway you choose.

Is this a good gift for someone connected to Paducah?

It works well for a pilot who has flown into 5/23, someone who grew up in western Kentucky, or anyone who has waited on the apron here. The X of the two runways is recognizable without a caption, which is what makes it read as a personal gift rather than generic decor.
