Shipping and Returns
Physical prints are made to order in 2 to 3 business days; shipping time is added on top and varies by your location and the method you choose. Standard shipping is free across the US. Orders containing only paper prints ship flat, though paper may retain a slight curl; orders with framed or metal pieces ship in separate boxes. Digital downloads are delivered by email, so there is nothing to ship.
The Digital Download is a JPEG at 300 dpi, sized for 24 by 30 inches. The digital add-on matches the selected physical print size at 300 dpi. Download links arrive by email and stay active for 30 days; save the file within that time and keep it for personal, non-commercial use. No physical item is shipped.
Physical products have a 30-day money-back guarantee. Contact us within 30 days of delivery to request a refund; we may require a return before issuing it.
Digital downloads are non-refundable once delivered, except where required by law or where AirportPrints determines that a delivery failure or technical issue was caused by AirportPrints.
Materials
Fine Art Print: pigment giclée printing on heavyweight 330 gsm (17 mil), 100% cotton Hot Press paper, on regularly calibrated giclée printers. The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.
Digital Download: a high-resolution JPEG for personal, non-commercial use. No physical paper, frame, or metal panel is included.
Dimensions
Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches.
Framed Fine Art Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches, measured across the mat and acrylic area inside the frame. The mat sits within that area, so the visible image is about 6 x 8, 12 x 16, or 18 x 24 inches. The outside frame is larger than the listed size.
Glossy Metal Print: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, and 24 x 30 inches. During sublimation, 1/8 to 1/4 inch of the artwork may be cropped, so the printed edge can differ slightly from the preview.
Digital Download: a 7200 x 9000 pixel JPEG at 300 dpi for 24 x 30 inch printing. A digital add-on instead matches the selected physical size: 8 x 10, 16 x 20, or 24 x 30 inches at 300 dpi.
Made like something you keep.
The field itself
This is San Nicolas Island's own layout, the way its runways run and the taxiways thread between them, composed into a print you will want to look at every day. Not a stock template with a new name on it.
Museum-quality cotton paper
Heavyweight 330 gsm, 100% cotton Hot Press paper, acid-free and archival-grade. Its high color gamut and black density give the runways real depth, and pigment inks keep the fine detail crisp on a smooth matte surface.
Solid wood framing or glossy metal
Frame it in 1.25 inch solid wood, black, white or natural oak, with the white beveled mat, optical-grade clear acrylic and hanging wire included. Or choose glossy metal: dye sublimation into aluminum, floated about 3/4 inch off the wall on a hidden mount.

San Nicolas Island NOLF Airport Runway Diagram Print
NSI is a one runway field, and the print is built around that single stroke. Runway 12/30 runs 10,002 feet at 200 feet wide, rendered as one long diagonal from the 12 threshold at upper left to the 30 threshold at lower right. There is no crossing strip, no V, no second angle competing for attention. The published designators sit in the pavement at each end, small and legible, the only numbers inside the drawing itself.
What fills out the composition is everything hung off that line. A taxiway runs parallel along the southwest side for nearly the full length, tied back to the runway by connectors that break it into a row of long links, and a compact apron and building cluster sits near midfield where the taxiway widens. Both ends finish in a looped turnaround. Because the runway carries the darkest value on the sheet and the taxiway system is held back in a lighter grey, the eye reads the strip first and then walks the supporting geometry, which is the part that rewards a second look from close range. The field sits at 506 feet of elevation, and the published magnetic variation of 12E is why a runway aligned this way carries 12 and 30.
A single diagonal is unusually easy to hang. It sets up a strong line across an otherwise quiet sheet, so the piece holds a wall on its own without fighting whatever is next to it, and it pairs cleanly with a busier multi runway field if you are building a row. In the colorway you choose, the runway stays the anchor and the taxiway drops to a supporting tone. If you want a California island field next to mainland fields in the same treatment, Oxnard and Long Beach are drawn to the same rules.
San Nicolas Island (NSI) print, common questions
How many runways does San Nicolas Island NOLF have?
One. Runway 12/30 is the only runway in the published data and the only runway in the print, which is why the artwork reads as a single diagonal strip rather than a crossing pattern.
How long is the runway at NSI?
Runway 12/30 is 10,002 feet long and 200 feet wide, with a paved surface published under the code PEM. Those dimensions set the proportions of the strip you see on the sheet.
What does NSI stand for and where is the airport?
NSI is the location identifier for San Nicolas Island NOLF, and it is the code set in large type on the print. The field is on San Nicolas Island, California, near 33.2398 degrees north and 119.4582 degrees west, at an elevation of 506 feet.
Is the layout accurate?
The diagram is plotted from published airport information, so runway 12/30, its 10,002 foot length, its 200 foot width and the parallel taxiway all follow that data. It is a graphic reduction rather than a chart, and fine details may be simplified or omitted. Pavement markings, lighting and signage are the usual examples.
What sizes and finishes can I get?
The NSI artwork is offered as a Fine Art Print, a Framed Fine Art Print, a Glossy Metal Print and a Digital Download, in a range of sizes. Physical pieces are made to order; the download is a file. A long diagonal like this one holds up well at larger sizes, where the connectors and the midfield cluster stay readable.
Does it work as a gift?
Yes, particularly for someone with a connection to San Nicolas Island or to flying out over the California coast. It is specific without being loud: one identifier, one runway, coordinates and elevation, and nothing else on the sheet.
