Logan-Cache Airport Runway Diagram Print

Logan-Cache Airport draws as a long vertical and a short slash that stops just before it. Runway 17/35 is 9,020 by 100 feet and runs almost straight down the right side of the frame. Runway 10/28 is 4,075 by 60 feet, a narrower line that comes in from the upper left and ends well down toward the southern end of the big runway without ever reaching it. That gap is the whole composition: two lines that plainly belong to the same field and never touch, with the terminal, hangar rows and tie down aprons gathered below the near miss at the bottom of the drawing. Field elevation is 4,457 feet above sea level and magnetic variation is 11E.

The airport is three miles northwest of Logan in Cache County, and it serves the Cache Valley of northern Utah and southeastern Idaho. Western Airlines flew here from 1946 until West Coast Airlines replaced it in 1959, and West Coast pulled out in 1964. Key Airlines then worked the Salt Lake City run from 1964 to 1976, and in that year Transwestern Airlines put its company headquarters at the field, flying to its own hub until Horizon Air acquired it in December 1983. Cache County and Logan City formed the Logan-Cache Airport Authority by interlocal agreement in 1992; it has no power to tax or bond, and takes its revenue from land and building leases, fuel and maintenance fees.

The field covers 739 acres, carries two control towers that are not operational, and sits in uncontrolled Class G airspace, with no tower service to sequence the traffic. In 2024 it logged 109,245 aircraft movements, the second highest count of any airport in Utah.
