The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.

Kodiak Airport Runway Diagram Print
Kodiak Benny Benson State Airport works three asphalt runways, and the print is built around the way they cross. Runway 08/26 is 7,534 by 150 feet and runs almost straight across the field from west to east. Runway 11/29, at 5,400 by 150 feet, comes down from the northwest and cuts through 08/26 about two thirds of the way along. Runway 01/19 is 5,010 by 150 feet and runs close to north to south, leaning slightly west as it descends, clipping 08/26 just short of the 26 threshold before crossing 11/29 lower down. Field elevation is 79 feet above sea level and magnetic variation is 14E. On the wall that reads as a tight knot of crossings gathered toward the east side of the sheet, with the apron and terminal blocks at the west end near the 8 threshold, a second cluster of buildings set down at the lower left, and open ground between them.
The field sits on the site of Naval Air Station Kodiak, commissioned in 1941. The Navy closed the station and placed it in caretaker status in 1950, apart from runways and facilities used by or conveyed to the Coast Guard, and in 1971 it handed the runways and the remaining caretaker ground to the State of Alaska. A Coast Guard Air Detachment had been commissioned at the naval air station in 1947 and was formally named Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak in 1964. On April 11, 2013 the Alaska State Legislature passed SB31, renaming the civil field Kodiak Benny Benson State Airport after the designer of the Alaskan flag.
The airport lies four nautical miles southwest of the central business district of Kodiak, on Kodiak Island, and is owned by the State of Alaska and operated by its Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. Travelers leaving here often check coolers of frozen fish they caught, and the airports at Kodiak and Anchorage keep freezers for those coolers in case a flight is delayed.
