Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.

Rafael Hernandez Airport Runway Diagram Print
BQN is a single runway field, and the print says so plainly. Runway 08/26 measures 11,702 feet long and 200 feet wide, an asphalt and concrete strip that crosses the sheet as one dark diagonal from lower left to upper right. The 8 threshold sits at the low left, the 26 threshold at the upper right, and a long taxiway runs back alongside the strip on the lower side before hooking up near the 26 end. Terminal, cargo and hangar shapes gather in gray along the upper left flank of the runway.
The field began as a military one. In 1939 the Army surveyed possible air base sites in Puerto Rico and declared Punta Borinquen the best place for a major base, and the complex was renamed Ramey Air Force Base in 1948, home to a Strategic Air Command bombardment wing flying B-36 Peacemaker bombers. The size and weight of the B-36 is why the runway was built to 11,702 feet by 200 feet, which is the same strip the diagram draws today. Closure began in 1971 and lasted until 1973, after which the base was converted into a civilian airport. In 1985, Arrow Air operated wide-body DC-10 service to Aguadilla from San Juan once a week and nonstop from New York JFK six days a week. In 2014, Lufthansa Technik announced a maintenance, repair and overhaul center at the airport.
