The paper is acid-free and archival-grade, with a smooth matte surface and the high color gamut and black density that let a dark ground and fine linework keep their depth. Supplied unframed, with no added white margin, ready for your own frame.
Framed Fine Art Print: the same cotton fine art paper in a 1.25 inch solid wood frame. A white, acid-free, 4-ply mat with a 45-degree bevel and optical-grade, shatter-resistant clear acrylic (safer to ship than glass) are included. The print is mounted to foam core for a flat presentation, with a kraft paper dust cover and installed hanging wire on the back.
Glossy Metal Print: the image is transferred by dye sublimation into polymer-coated aluminum with a glossy white base. The 1.14 mm panel has a scratch- and water-resistant surface, with a hidden inset mount that positions it about 3/4 inch off the wall. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight.

Akutan Airport Runway Diagram Print
The 7AK print is a single strip. Runway 09/27, 4,500 feet long and 75 feet wide, asphalt, is drawn on a gentle diagonal that falls from upper left to lower right, with the 9 threshold sitting high on the left and 27 landing near the lower right corner. One short taxiway curves up out of the middle of the runway to a small square apron pad. That is the entire drawing, and the sheet is honest about it: a lot of quiet paper, one decisive line through it.
Akutan Airport opened in 2012, and it is not on Akutan Island. It sits on Akun Island, about 6 miles east of the Aleutians East Borough community it serves. The field exists because in 2012 operator PenAir announced it would retire its Grumman Goose aircraft, which ended the amphibious arrangement that had connected Akutan, so a conventional runway was built on Akun instead. State owned, public use, one strip pointed east and west across an island in the Aleutians.
As artwork, the appeal is the ratio. The runway bar carries almost all the weight, the taxiway gives the eye one small curve to follow, and everything else is negative space, so the piece hangs calmly in a hallway or over a desk without competing with the room. The identifier block in the lower corner keeps the coordinates and the 129 foot field elevation in small type. Put it next to Cold Bay or Sand Point and a wall of Aleutian fields starts to read as a set, whatever colorway you choose.
